I was born in the Black Hills of South Dakota but grew up in California.
Growing up I traveled quite extensively throughout the western United States.
Can't you imagine the miners and people wanting to get rich roaming through the
hills? And Deadwood is the place where Wild Bill Hickock died. History! History!
History!
My love of travel was wetted during trips to South Dakota. I love to go
on cruises and have been to Mexico a couple of times and Alaska, the Caribbean,
a Fall Foliage trip in Canada and down the East Coast. I went on a cruise across
the Atlantic to England on the QE II. That was a wonderful trip. I got the idea
of setting a romantic suspense on a cruise ship from having been on these trips.
That is what I am working on now. I also love cats and am considering a book on
the funny things cats do.
This last summer I went to my first RWA National Conference in Anaheim. I
learned a lot from all the workshops. Listening to the luncheon speakers was
inspirational and some others were a hoot. Seeing all the Golden Heart winners
and the RITA winners convinced me I could do the same thing.
